International Training Session on Democracy Starts in Casablanca

The Moroccan Centre for Civic Education organized an 11 to 19 January Casablanca training session on "The Bases of Democracy and Education to Citizenship." About 40 education officials, professors, human rights association members, and NGOs from Morocco, Palestine, Bahrain, Lebanon, Yemen, Egypt, Jordan, Tunisia, and Algeria will participate in the event.

The meeting aims to provide education professionals with training in the areas of democracy and civic education, as well as encouraging them to spread the values and to make youth aware of the spirit of citizenship, their rights and obligations, Moroccan Centre president Imad Elarbi said.
