Pilgrims Depart Algeria for Saudi Arabia

The first group of 257 pilgrims left Algiers to perform the Haj in Mecca. Minister of Religious Affairs Bouabdallah Ghlamallah sent off the initial group at the Houari Boumediene International airport. More than a hundred flights are expected to leave Algeria's 12 main airports in the coming month, carrying 32,000 pilgrims to Saudi Arabia. The flights are arranged by both Air Algerie and Saudi Arabian Airlines. (albawaba.com)
