United States Ambassador to Morocco Thomas Riley recently described Morocco as a "model of political and democratic reforms in the Middle East and North Africa region." The ambassador also noted that the 2006 Future Forum would be hosted by Bahrain, with the 2007 event slated for Jordan. He additionally said that living in a time marked by terrorism makes G8 European member countries more interested in the Middle East and North Africa region being politically stable and economically prosperous.
