Lamb Prices Rise in Algeria for Eid

Algerian Minister of Agriculture and Water Resources Habib Haddad is trying to reduce lamb prices as demand outstrips supply. With the Eid El Adha holiday coming in a few weeks, Algerians are already buying lamb for the ritual sacrifice. However, officials at the agriculture ministry have restricted imports fearing they may spread disease. They are looking into ways to solve the problem before further price increases take place.
