Morocco and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) signed an agreement earlier this week to provide a $3 million donation to help Morocco fight locusts. Prior to this agreement, the American government granted Morocco $1m to help the country combat swarms of migratory locusts. According to MAP, the new money will fund the purchase of the needed equipment used in the anti-locust campaign that started in November. (albawaba.com)
