Moroccan Expatriate Transfers in the Billions

According to Al-Sharq Al-Awsat, the Moroccan Exchange Office estimates that money transfers by Moroccans working abroad reached $3.71 billion from the period January to October 2004. The figure shows a six per cent rise over the year-earlier period and indicates a 28.2 per cent growth in the annual average from 1999-2003. (albawaba.com)
