Under the patronage of Prince Talal Bin Abdulaziz, president of the Arab Gulf Programme for United Nations Development Organizations (AGFUND), an awards ceremony for pioneering development projects will be held in Tunis on Wednesday (15 December). AGFUND's prize committee selected three development projects -- from Egypt, Bangladesh and Brazil -- to receive awards.
Established in 1980, AGFUND is concerned with the support of sustainable human development efforts by targeting the neediest groups in the developing countries, particularly women and children, in co-operation with the organizations and institutions active in the field. (albawaba.com)
