EU Allocates $230m for Moroccan Poverty and Legal Reforms

Sean Doyle, head of the European Commission Delegation in Morocco, announced the European Union (EU) allocated $230m to support reforms in Morocco from 2005-2006. Addressing a press conference in Rabat, he said the aid will finance economic aspects of the EU-South Mediterranean MEDA Program in Morocco. The aid aims to support reforms instituted by Morocco with regard to strengthening the economy, fighting poverty, consolidating the rule of law and upgrading public administration. (albawaba.com)
