Morocco Launches Social Priorities Programme

According to Al-Sharq Al-Awsat newspaper, the Moroccan government recently launched the Social Priorities Programme. The programme aims to alleviate poverty in Morocco's 13 poorest rural provinces. Planned to include 1,185 social development projects, the project’s estimated cost is $179 million.
Supported by the World Bank, the programme focuses on basic health, education and labour development. In addition to the World Bank, the Social Priorities Programme is financed by charity associations, civil associations, and municipalities. (albawaba.com)
