FOREM Launches AIDS Awareness Campaign in Algerian Secondary Schools
2004-12-03
The National Foundation for Health Promotion and Medical Research Development (FOREM) held on Wednesday (1 December) AIDS awareness and prevention conferences at some twenty secondary schools in Algiers. FOREM president Dr. Khiati Mustapha said the programmes aim to "initiate discussions with pupils to assess their knowledge on AIDS and its transmission means, and list their questions." Answers to the questions will be published in a book. FOREM recently published a book called "HIV/AIDS Infection, the Algerian Experience" as well as a special issue of its magazine "Sante plus" devoted to knowledge of AIDS. (APS)
