Maghreb Countries Appeal to EU to Combat Locusts

On Tuesday (30 November) Secretary-General of the Maghreb Arab Union, Habib Boulares, appealed to the EU for help in fighting locusts in the Maghreb region. Boulares told a Euro-Mediterranean ministerial conference in the Hague that the locust situation is worsening in the region, notably in Mauritania, and the repercussions will be felt in Algeria, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco and Tunisia. Locusts are beneficial and hazardous insects at the same time and most of the time corrupting therefore I want to know how we can fight them to eliminate them. Thank you.
