Missing German Tourists Found in Algerian Desert
2004-11-21
Algerian officials said Saturday (20 November) they had located five German tourists who were reported missing in the desert Wednesday. Algerian Tourism Minister Mohammad Qara said the tourists were found alive in the desert in the Jant area, about 85km southeast of Algiers. They reportedly went about 200km off-road in the desert without their local guide. Authorities had feared the Germans might have been abducted. (El Watan)
