Mezouar Says Economic Growth Needed to Curb Moroccan Unemployment

According to the Maghreb Arabe Presse, Moroccan Minister of Industry, Commerce and Economy Salaheddine Mezouar said Morocco needs an average of 5 per cent economic growth rate per annum to reduce rising unemployment. Mezouar said his ministry is upgrading state-owned sugar and textile companies to be offered for privatisation. He said Morocco also is developing its industries to be more competitive internationally. (menareport.com, Assabah)
