According to a US State Department statement, an initiative will begin in Morocco next month that focuses on ways to improve co-operation and strengthen political and economic reform in the Middle East. Called the Forum of the Future, the 11 December meeting will include Arab foreign and finance ministers, along with G8 country representatives, to examine ways of "consolidating the commitment of Middle East and North African countries to fruitful co-development and the harmonious strengthening of the process of political, economic and social reform," the state department statement said. State Department Deputy Spokesman Adam Ereli said his government looks forward to co-chairing the meeting and participating in future forums. (AFP)
