Over 6,800 Moroccans Granted Spanish Citizenship

According to Spanish government figures, 6,831 Moroccan expatriates were granted Spanish citizenship in 2004 compared to only 1,921 in 2000. Moroccans received citizenship more than any other nationality in 2004. The 378,879-strong Moroccan community in Spain is only second in size to Ecuador. (MAP)
