US Embassy in Tunis Allocates Development Funds
2004-11-09
The US embassy in Tunisia recently allocated $100,000 in subsidies for development projects as part of the Middle East Partnership Initiative. Grants of $25,000 are allocated to a small and medium-size enterprise finance programme, the Mediterranean School of Business, and to AMIDEAST to present information in English to Tunisian journalists. The AMIDEAST programme aims to improve communication between Washington and journalists in the Arab world. The fourth project focuses on the International Solidarity Association to provide social and economic aid for farming women. (La Presse)
