New Tunisian Customs Director Appointed

Tunisian Minister of Finance Mohamed Rachid Kechich recently announced the appointment of Slimane Ourak to head the government's customs authority. In a ceremony at the ministry of finance, the new director took over from Ali Trabelsi. Kechich said the post is vital to stopping the drug trade and terrorism. The finance minister said he hopes Ourak's appointment rebuilds public confidence in the customs authority. (albawaba.com)
