Algerian President to Visit Japan

Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika will visit Japan from 5 December - 8 December at the invitation of Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi, it was announced on Friday (5 November). The Emperor of Japan will hold a dinner party in honour of Bouteflika. The Algerian leader will also meet with Japan's prime minister to focus on "the ways and means for developing the bilateral relations, as well as regional and international topical issues of interest to both countries," according to the Algerian government statement.
