UN Human Rights Committee Hails Morocco's Progress

The government is intensifying efforts at the institutional level for the promotion, protection and defence of human rights
The UN Human Rights committee praised Morocco on Tuesday (26 October) for the quality of the country's “continued progress” in the field of human rights. Morocco's 5th report was presented by the Moroccan Ambassador to the UN in Geneva, Omar Hilale. He stressed his government's efforts to build a democratic and modern society while deepening the human rights culture. The government is intensifying efforts at the institutional level for the promotion, protection and defence of human rights, the diplomat said. (MAP)
