New Magazine About Tunisia to Be Launched

2004-10-25

A new French-language magazine focusing on Tunisia is due to be launched on 1 November. The monthly, called Le Tunisien, will be under the directorship of Abdel Wahab Hani. It aims to provide reports and analysis from Tunisian émigrés in Europe, principally France. Media observers say there is considerable demand for open news sources reflecting the perspective of the large emigrant communities from North Africa currently living in France, Belgium and Holland. The local press in North Africa is considered too dominated by government interests, they add. (albawaba.com)
