Anaemia Widespread Among Tunisian Women
2004-12-08
Tunisian daily Al Chourouk reported that 30 per cent of Tunisian women are afflicted with anaemia, especially in the south-western part of the country. Health officials said the major causes of the affliction in the area are a lack of iron in food and over consumption of tea after meals. Other reasons for anaemia among women are frequent pregnancies and overwork. (Al Chourouk)
