Tuberculosis Risk on the Rise in Morocco

According to the France-based health organisation Cahiers Sante, the number of tuberculosis cases among health workers in Morocco is up to ten times higher than among the general population. In response, the Moroccan Ministry of Health is acting to prevent its further spread among doctors, nurses and the general population. The health ministry is increasing its prevention efforts with vaccinations and public awareness campaigns. (albawaba.com)

There should be a focus on media campaigns and an awareness-raising of people as to the necessity of prevention first and then treatment, and avoid infection.
