Moroccan mother convicted in UK on terrorism charges

A British court on Monday (November 2nd) sentenced a Moroccan mother of 6 to two years in prison on terrorism charges, international press reported. Last year, Houria Chahed Chentouf, 41, was being interviewed by customs agents at Liverpool's John Lennon Airport when a computer memory stick dropped out of the sleeve of her burqa. It contained more than 7,000 files, including an explosives manual for the "Brothers of the Mujahideen." British police described the USB drive as "a mini encyclopaedia of weapons-making".
Chentouf, who has both Moroccan and Dutch nationality, pleaded guilty to possessing documents likely to be used for terror purposes. According to AFP, the judge noted her "obsessive interest in jihad". Chentouf was released after the trial, since she had served the time on remand.
