Former Algerie Telecom chief receives 5-year prison term

A Setif court on Tuesday sentenced former Algerie Telecom chief Slimane Kheireddine to five years in jail for embezzlement, AFP reported on Wednesday (October 21st). Kheireddine, who headed the public telecom company from 2006-2008, was one of eight defendants convicted for the 15 million-euro scam.
