France, Mauritania to hold joint military training

French Army chief of staff Jean-Louis Georgelin and Mauritanian President Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz held security talks in Nouakchott on Tuesday (October 13th). "We particularly envisaged training actions that we can undertake together, above all, on military co-operation that can bring our armies closer together," state news agency AMI quoted Georgelin as saying. Earlier this week, the French general met with his Mauritanian counterpart, General Mohamed Ould Ghazouani, and Mauritanian Defence Minister Hammadi Ould Hammadi.
