Spanish police arrest 5 for exploiting Moroccan immigrants

Spanish police dismantled an alleged criminal ring exploiting Moroccan immigrant workers in the Galicia region, MAP reported on Monday (April 6th). Five people were arrested, including two Spaniards, a Chilean and two Moroccans. The police reportedly found documents indicating that the workers were each forced to pay 10,000 euros for an employment contract with a construction company, The Moroccan immigrants also had to work in "conditions that violate the Spanish labour laws", police said.
