Maghreb states approve common climate change strategy

Arab Maghreb Union (AMU) countries will adopt a common position at the UN climate change conference later this year in Copenhagen, TAP reported on Wednesday (February 25th). Algeria, Libya, Morocco, Mauritania and Tunisia agreed at a desertification forum last month in Tripoli to launch joint measures to protect Maghreb ecosystems and citizens from risks related to climate change.
