Tunisia hosts Mediterranean conference on women and labour unions

A Mediterranean conference on women and trade unions opened Monday (February 23rd) in Hammamet, TAP reported. It is attended by representatives of Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Jordan, Palestine, Libya, the International Labour Organisation, the International Labour Confederation and Euromed. In his opening speech, Union of Maghreb Workers chief Abdessalem Jrad called for strengthening of the role of women in the union movement.
