Maghreb highway safety forum presses for region-wide initiatives

A Maghreb seminar on highway safety opened Wednesday (February 18th) in Rabat, Algerian and Moroccan press reported. Moroccan Transport Minister Karim Ghellab opened the seminar by telling participants that he hoped the gathering would foster a real partnership among the five Maghreb countries to guarantee the safety of the region's citizens. The 2-day forum is among events being held this week to celebrate the Arab-Maghreb Union's 20th anniversary.
