AU bans Mauritania from summit

Mauritania was barred from participating in the African Union (AU) summit in Addis Ababa on Thursday (January 29th), international press reported. Seats at the AU summit for Mauritania and Guinea would remain vacant for "for as long as it takes for constitutional order to be re-established in those countries", ANI quoted AU Executive Council Chairman Bernard Membe of Tanzania as saying.
