Repentant terrorist tips Algerian security to bomb-making workshop

Algerian security forces discovered a workshop for manufacturing explosive belts last week in Chaâbet El-Ameur Timezrit forests, Boumerdès province, Liberté reported on Sunday (January 4th). According to evidence disclosed on Saturday, the deadly belts were ready to be used by an al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb group operating in Timezrit. Information about the workshop was provided by a 23-year-old repentant terrorist.
In related news, an army officer was killed in an ambush set by terrorists in the mountains of Gouraya, Tipaza province, El Khabar quoted security sources as saying on Sunday (January 4th). The murder was immediately followed by a cordon and search to track down the terrorist group.
