2008-11-30
King Mohammed VI of Morocco condemned this week's terrorist attacks in Mumbai, which killed nearly 200 people and injured hundreds more, MAP reported on Friday (November 28th). These "heinous crimes" are against "all religious teachings, and the universal principles and democratic ideals" shared by the Moroccan and Indian peoples, said the monarch in his statement.
In a similar message, Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika expressed indignation and outrage over the attacks and pledged his country's support. Tunisian President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali condemned what he called "odious crimes", adding that his country rejects all forms of terrorism.
