2008-11-24
Algeria agreed Friday (November 21st) in Tunis to double the supply of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) to Tunisia, AFP reported. Algerian Energy Minister Chakib Khelil inked the accord during a working visit marking the 25th anniversary of the creation of the Trans Tunisian Pipeline Company (TTPC). Storing gas in Tunisia to cover the needs of other countries in the Mediterranean was also discussed. To meet the growing energy needs of Tunisia, quantities will reach 300,000 tonnes per year.
