2008-11-17
A civil nuclear agreement was signed between Argentina and Algeria on Monday (November 16th) during Argentine President Christina Kirchner's visit, local and international press reported. Energy Minister and OPEC chief Chakib Khelil signed the accord on behalf of Algeria. Echorouk reported Sunday that Kirchner, who is in Algeria on the first stop of a Maghreb tour, would visit the nuclear reactor in Draria. A 70-strong business delegation is accompanying her during the visit to Algeria, which aims at reinforcing south-south economic co-operation. Other agreements signed Monday target public health and cultural co-operation.
