British court postpones Khelifa extradition hearing

A Westminster court on Tuesday (October 28th) postponed the extradition hearing for Algerian multi-millionaire Rafik Abdelmoumene Khelifa until December 19th, Liberte reported. The Tuesday session was expected to assess the political climate and human rights in Algeria to decide if Khelifa should be returned from British custody.

Return Rafik Abdelmoumene Khelifa to Algeria and there will be an extremely expeditious blanket sentence placed on him. The Algerian courts ruled on the sum of money stolen by Benflis, the former head of state, and a few brutish generals in his absence.
