Medelci seeks fair French murder trial for Algerian diplomat

French authorities should take measures to quickly resolve the murder case against Algerian diplomat Mohamed Ziane Hassen, Algerian Foreign Minister Mourad Medelci told his French counterpart Bernard Kouchner during a meeting in Paris on Wednesday (October 15th), international press reported. Hasseni was arrested August 14th by French police on charges of complicity in the 1987 Paris murder of Algerian lawyer Ali Mecili, an aide to Algeria's Socialist Forces Front (FFS) leader Hocine Ait Ahmed.
