Algeria wildfires devastate over 10,000 hectares in one week

Wildfires ravaged a total of 10,119 hectares of land in Algeria between September 6th and 12th, APS reported on Sunday (September 14th). More than 25,000 hectares were devastated between June 1st and September 12th, especially when the latest fires, concentrated mostly in eastern Algeria, coincided with an exceptional heat wave in the north of the country.
