Mauritania could face EU measures

The European Union sent a warning on Wednesday (September 10th) to Mauritania's ruling military junta that it could take measures against the country if democratic rule is not restored, DPA reported. EU officials have already hinted that the union may suspend non-humanitarian aid to Mauritania.

Given that the Mauritanian state receives more than 30 million dollars from European countries and America, which represents an indispensable sum for development in Mauritania, I can confirm that the current Mauritanian leadership could not sustain a boycott for long.
