Tunisian President makes changes in ruling party's leadership

Tunisian President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali Friday (September 5th) appointed Mohamed Gheriani as secretary-general of the ruling Democratic Constitutional Rally (RCD), replacing Hedi Mhenni, local press quoted Prime Minister Mohamed Ghannouchi as saying. Ghannouchi was named vice-president of the political bureau.
