Mauritanian junta's prime minister to launch political debate

Mauritania's military-appointed prime minister, Moulaye Ould Mohamed Laghdaf, will launch a political debate on the country's electoral process and amending the constitution, APA reported. Speaking during a Saturday (September 6th) press conference in Nouakchott, Laghdhaf said parliamentarians, political parties, NGOs and other civil society organisations will be included. The move, he added, aims to define the powers of the executive and the legislative authorities.
