Regional NGOs unveil Maghreb Peoples' Charter

The first Maghreb Social Forum, which gathered some 2000 representatives of regional NGOs, ended Sunday (July 27th) in El Jadida, Morocco, with calls for opening borders between Maghreb countries, MAP reported. The newly-adopted Charter of the Maghreb Peoples also calls for the right of free movement in Maghreb space and for economic integration of the region. Charter signatories voiced their commitment to reaching peace, democracy, solidarity and shared prosperity in the Maghreb.
