Morocco's Attijariwafa Bank acquires 51% of Malian bank

Moroccan group Attijariwafa Bank acquired 51% of the second major Malian bank, Banque Internationale de Mali (BIM), according to a bank communiqué issued Friday (July 25th). The Moroccan bank successfully participated in a privatisation tender announced by the Malian government, following its decision to privatise portions of the national economy.
