Algeria posts highest success rate since independence on 2008 baccalaureate

The number of students who passed Algeria's 2008 baccalaureate exam is the highest since the country's independence, Echourouk reported on Thursday (July 10th). Out of 599,702 candidates, 329,000 were successful, indicating a pass rate of 54.86% for the bac, compared to 53.27% last year. Most of the successful diplomas were in science and mathematics, a government source reportedly told Echourouk.

There are no real exams in Algeria. There is just business and external relations responsible for the success or failure of the student.
