Maghreb NGOs unite to combat illiteracy

Maghreb NGOs will partner for a network to fight illiteracy, Algerian association IQRA announced Monday (July 7th) at a forum in Algiers, ANSA reported. According to an IRQA survey, 21.39% of the Algerian population cannot read or write. The highest illiteracy rate was seen among people of over 70 years of age and among women in rural areas.
