Repentant terrorists ask Algerian government for help

A petition signed by 284 repentant terrorists who benefitted from Algeria's Charter of Peace and National Reconciliation will be submitted to President Abdelaziz Bouteflika by the National Advisory Commission for Promotion and Protection of Human Rights, Echourouk quoted the organisation's chairman Farouk Ksentini as saying on Friday (April 18th). The petition will address social problems the former terrorists face. "The success of the National Reconciliation endeavour depends on the settlement of the repentant terrorists' situation," Ksentinin said, adding that the authorities must help them achieve social and professional integration.
