Algeria sentences three terrorists to death in absentia

A Boumerdès criminal court sentenced three suspected terrorists to death in absentia on Sunday (February 24th) on charges of forming an armed terror group, premeditated murder, kidnapping and armed robbery, APS reported. Zemmouri emir Hadjeress Hocine, Houalime Mohamed and Ighil Larbaa Sofiane were all sentenced to death. Three other suspects were given sentences ranging from three to 20 years in prison for financing and joining an armed terror group. The case of a fourth suspect, Romane Kadour, was dropped when a certificate indicating his January death by Algerian security forces was presented to the court.
