Arab Fund loans Morocco $147m for water project

The Kuwait-based Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development (FADES) granted a $147m loan to Morocco on Thursday (January 17th) to fund two development projects in the north of the country. MAP reported that the projects cover the construction of the $123m Oued Martil dam and the provision of drinking water to the towns of Taounate, Chefchaouen and Sidi Kacem at a cost of $85m.
