Mauritanian government increases fuel prices

As a result of rising oil prices, the Mauritanian government raised fuel prices on Tuesday (November 6th), AMI reported. Gasoline price will rise 7.23% to 289.3 ouguiya, while diesel fuel will increase by 8.8% 253 ouguiya per litre. AMI quoted Ahmedou Ould Mohamed Yahya, executive director of Société Mauritanienne de Gaz (Somagaz) as saying that the government will fix butane gas prices through subsidies, despite increases at the international level.
