Netherlands's IFFR to feature Mauritanian director

The 36th International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR) opened Wednesday (January 24th). Mauritanian filmmaker Abdurahmane Sissako is one of the IFFR's two Filmmakers in Focus together with Johnnie To from Hong Kong. All six of Sissako's films -- both as a director and producer -- will be screened during the festival. (IFFR website)
