Maghreb ministerial trade council wraps up in Tunis

The work of the 8th Maghreb Ministerial Trade Council ended Thursday (January 25th) in Tunis. The meeting, which included trade ministers of Algeria, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco and Tunisia, focused on the creation of a free trade area and a Maghreb economic community. Ministers called for the strengthening of regional economic integration with respect to mutual interests and to complete the preparations for a unique customs classification and customs policies co-ordination, ahead of the establishment of a Euro-Mediterranean free trade zone.
